“I really like challenges and the puzzles that math has presented me with,” says Katie Deegan, new high school math teacher. Deegan is an alumna of West Chester University where she student taught at West Chester Middle School and in the country of Belize. “In Belize, students are considered seniors at 15 and 16 years of age.” Deegan always aspired to be a school teacher. “I enjoy relating math to everyday life and showing that life has different variables, just like math.”
