The Pine Grove Lady Cardinals faced the Panther Valley Panthers during an emotional Senior The graduating seniors are:  Devyn Biggs, Karli Boyer, Abbie Brown, Mckenzie Frants, Mckenzie Koch, Madison Kurtz, and Maura Lehman. Three year, Varsity player Karli Boyer says, “When I was being announced for Senior Night it felt unbelievable that I was actually a senior. I remember being an underclassman that would sprawl after the seniors as they would walk by. It also made me cry, it was definitely a bittersweet moment.”

The first set startes and the Lady Cardinals are prepared. Meghan Wolfe starts for the Lady Cardinals with a tip over. Later, Brown blocks the attempted spike to get the Lady Cardinals another point. Wolfe also has a block of her own following Brown’s. Brown says, “ I think we played very well together but they were just a little bit smarter than we were. I truly believe we really put our hearts into the game knowing that for some of us it was our last time playing on that court. Our mindset was to go out there and give it our all and that’s exactly what we did. I think that we will get them next time.” The Lady Cardinals have a good first set but they end up with a loss of 25-23.

The second start starts and the Lady Cardinals are not giving up. Wolfe blocks and follows up with a spike. Wolfe makes an incredible save while falling to the ground. Even with effort the Lady Cardinals, lose the second set 25-19. The Lady Cardinals are fighting until the end in the third set. Wolfe had a kill and Brown followed her up with 2 aces. Wolfe has tip over and the Lady Cardinals seek a set win. The Lady Cardinals lose 27-25 and lose the match.
