Tough Loss Against Blue Mountain

Pine Grove gets together before the game to get themselves prepared to play.

“They played a good game last night, we didn’t win but they played a hard game. I was still proud of the team for the work that they put in,” states head coach, Mark Wylie. In the first half of the game, Pine Grove had 19 shots on goal and Blue Mountain had 24 shots on goal. Both Pine Grove and Blue Mountain had 2 corner kicks. Pine Grove had 6 goal kicks while Blue Mountain had 4 goal kicks. Pine Grove also had 5 stop by the goalkeeper and Blue Mountain only had 3 stops by the goalkeeper. Then with 8 minutes and 2 seconds left in the first half, Blue Mountain scores. Pine Grove also had 3 free kicks and Blue Mountain had 6. At the end of the first half, Blue Mountain was leading the game with a score of 1-0 over Pine Grove.

In the second half of the game, there was a lot of ball movement but no team could capitalize. Pine Grove had 24 shots on goal while Blue Mountain only had 19 shots on goal. Pine Grove had 3 corner kicks and Blue Mountain had 2 corner kicks Pine Grove also had 4 free kicks but, Blue Mountain had 7 free kicks. Pine Grove had 4 saves by the goalkeeper while, Blue Mountain had 6 saves by the goalkeeper. Pine Grove had 4 goal kicks and Blue Mountain had 8 goal kick. This concluded of the game. Blue Mountain defeated Pine Grove, 1-0.

In the end, both teams played a hard game against each other. Blue Mountain took the win against Pine Grove, 1-0.
