“Having friends from different schools that live a far distance can be hard since you can’t just walk to their house,” says Aedan Crochunis who has friends from many different schools. Crochunis also says, “ It can be a problem because we can’t drive yet.” As young kids we go through school and we make many friends that we take into high school. Yet, sometimes they move away so we don’t get to spend as much time together. Adean enjoys video games so he can talk and play with his friends when he doesn’t get to see them in person.

“Working is also a problem because you spend more time working than you do with friends, especially if they are from different schools,” says Payton Schach. Because Payton works she does not get as much time to do anything with her friends that are not from around Pine Grove. she has to text them or talk to them on the phone. That can cause some tension on friendships because you may drift away from them and your best friend could end up feeling like a stranger.

We all have friends and some of us have friends from different schools or maybe even a different state all together. There’s a lot that goes into having friends from all over. You may not see them as much if you play sports unless you play sports with them like a travel team. Some people drift apart and it can be hard, especially if it’s senior year and your preparing to leave for college. No friendships are easy but when they are farther away it gets hard when you need them the most.
