Senior, Chris Charles said, “I am looking forward to this season being my senior year, I know it is going to go by way too fast, but we are still going to have a great season. I worked really hard all off season for this year.” This year’s wrestling team looks stronger faster and more athletic than years past teams. “Wrestlers are more motivated this year than in years past,” according to Assistant Coach, Ted Kemmerling.

The returning Seniors are: Travis Anderson, Christopher Charles, Gavin Harris, and Caleb Reiter.  Senior, Gavin Harris said, “I am hoping I can stay healthy all season, last season I deflated my lungs and tried to push through it, inturn hurting myself more in the long run.”

After Jack Drey had resigned, the Wrestling team is putting all of their faith and trust in new Head Coach Raymond Newswanger. “Being the new Head Coach comes with many new responsibilities. This year, we have a group of hard working wrestlers that will push each other throughout the course of the season,” says Newswangwer. “This team has the chance to do something special, this group of guys is tough,” said Coach Kemmerling.  Wrestling is a singular sport. The sport is one on one, no team out on the mat to help you get a win. Senior, Caleb Reiter said, “This season I want to do something no one else can do, I want to have a strong team that no one can break.”
