Wrestling’s Hopeful Prediction

Rylee Hoffmann, Staffer

“I think we should have a good year. A lot of other teams lost kids and we are looking pretty tough” says Dalton Kintzel, junior at Pine Grove. The upcoming season is looking good for the wrestlers at Pine Grove with experienced wrestlers still on the team and new wrestlers coming out. The team expects this year to be much better than the past couple seasons they’ve had and they look like they’re going to hold up to that expectation. Dillon Kintzel, senior at Pine Grove hopes to make it to States or further this year.

According to Coach Newswanger, “We are looking forward to the upcoming season.  We will not be able to fill all the weight classes, but we are confident that we will be sending tough, talented wrestlers on the mat.  Every competition and practice along the way is leading towards the big payoff, Districts and beyond.”

With wrestling season just beginning, the question comes about how good the team will be. The team this year is expected to be good but some may think otherwise. Throughout the past couple years the team has been decent but not as good as some would want it and that is why this year they expect and hope that it will be better. The team is looking forward to a great year doing the thing they love. The seniors of the team are also very hopeful for a good season so they can go out of their last season with a good year.
