One of America’s most favored sports is baseball. From the little children all the way up to the professional players, there are well over 15 million people that play baseball every year (Statista 2019). Kids of all ages join for the love of the game. Some make it to the professional levels, where others make it to the collegiate levels. Millions of people go to watch their kids or watch professionals play their game. Many people have their favorite team, which goes head to head against others for a competition most people love. But has the sport lost its cool?

Baseball was once the sport everybody loved to watch. In today’s society, major league games don’t fill a complete stadium like they used too. No students goes to watch their high school baseball team any-more. Most kids grow up with baseball being their whole life, whereas other people lose interest in the game. Coaches treat their players as though they are playing for the championship of the world. If the kids do not perform at 100% all of the time, they are punished which can sometimes ruin their love for the game.

Most games can become very boring at certain points. Some games can go innings where no one gets a hit or a play. It just goes on where nothing happens and it becomes boring or you feel bad because a team is getting 10 runned or 15 runned. If your team is not good, it can cause someone to lose interest in the sport they once loved. Most people don’t get to watch baseball games because they don’t have time or they are just not interested. Baseball is still a game people love and enjoy, but it is slowly losing its cool.
