Quavo Huncho (Quavo Album)

Quavo, the main artist from the rap group Migos, recently released a solo, self-titled album, Quavo Huncho. The 19 song album just released Friday, October 12th and has yet to top the charts. Quavo is projected to sell 115-thousand albums total by the end of this week. Quavo got a lot of praise for the album because of how many popular featured artists are included on the album.. Contrastingly, Quavo’s album has also seen a lot of hate in its week of debut that  it’s been out because of how almost every song uses a similar beat with little to no variation. I think Quavo had a lot of potential with the album, but blew it all to get the album out quickly.

Quavo Huncho overall was a decent album but it’s not something that I will continue to listen to for much longer. It is a long album that had a lot of potential, but Quavo failed to make the album that people wanted. The album gained a lot of sales, but also a lot of disappointment. . My favorite song off the album, “Workin Me”, has no features, showing that Quavo has the potential to make a good album alone. Even though he did manage to get a couple of good features including artists like Drake and Travis Scott.

Quavo Huncho has received many good reviews as well as some bad ones. After listening to the album, I found some good songs as well as some bad ones. Though, the bad songs overpowered the good ones on the album, bringing my rating for a potentially good album down a couple points. If I had to rate the album I would give it a 6 out of 10. My reasons for giving it such a low rating is because of how repetitive the beat was on every song, and the songs Quavo put out without a feature definitely could’ve been touched up some more. Overall, the album was not that good compared to some of the other albums he has put out.
