McKenna Valentine and Brandon Unger

Each Senior of the Month was asked 10 questions…

1.How do you feel about being a senior?

-It’s exciting because I get to go to college and pursue my life but it’s also scary because it’s hard to pick one direction.

2.How do you feel about your last year being hybrid?

-It was definitely something to get used to but once you do it’s enjoyable.

3.How do you feel about being senior of the month?

-I’m very thankful and extremely proud that my hard work has paid off.

4.Favorite and least favorite thing about being a senior during covid?

-favorite: the extra time hybrid gave us  least favorite: not being able to see all of my friends

5.What do you want to do after you graduate?

-I plan on attending a four year college to major in Biology while on a pre-veterinary track. I will then be attending vet school.

6.What piece of advice would you give to underclassmen?

-I would tell them to always put in your best effort even when it’s hard. It will always pay off.

7.If you play sports or do any other activities how were they affected with covid?

-My favorite sports season is track & field so, seeing all of the new rules put in place really upset me. Invitationals were one of my favorite parts about track but they were sadly taken away this year.

8.Best memory from senior year so far?

-My best memory would have to be the first day both teams were allowed to come into school together. Seeing all of my peers instead of a few made this year feel somewhat normal.

9.Favorite thing to do outside of school?

-My favorite thing to do outside of school is fishing. You can usually catch me by the creek in my spare time.

10.Who is someone you look up to?

-The one person I’ll always look up to is my mom. She’s such an encouragement to me and always is pushing me to do my best.
