Lady Cards Softball beat Mahanoy Area 13-0 in 6 innings during the Schuylkill League Softball Semi-Final game Wednesday night. The game was a grinder in the beginning of the game going to 1-0 after 2 innings. That’s when senior catcher Trisha Kopinetz blasted a two run home run to left field. After that the bats were contagious and everyone in the lineup took turns  hitting through the next 2 innings. Olivia Lehman had herself a game on the mound for Pine Grove. The 4 year senior pitcher showed out and had 11 strikeouts along with going 2/4 hitting. Asking Olivia what she had to say about her big game she had to thank her coaches saying, “My coaches and teammates push me to do better all the time and they are always supporting me whether I have a good night or a bad night pitching.” The Lady Cards move on to play their toughest opponent yet, Williams Valley. Williams Valley who boasts just 1 loss on the year, plays Pine Grove tonight who has yet to lose this season. The game is Thursday, May 16, at Blue Mountain Softball Field at 7pm.
