Palmerton Defeats the Cardinals

“We played well enough to win, increased our shot from previous games. Unfortunately could not get them in the goal. Loved the boys’ energy, especially in the 2nd half against Palmerton. We play on Saturday morning at 11 at home looking for the win,” states head coach Mark Wylie. In the first half of the game, Pine Grove had 18 shots on goal while Palmerton had 23 shots on goal. Palmerton had the most possession of the ball in the first half of the game. Pine Grove had 1 corner kick and Palmerton had 3 corner kicks. Then with 28 minutes and 27 seconds left in the half, Palmerton score off of a penalty kick. Pine Grove had 7 goal kicks and 9 stops by the goalkeeper. Palmerton had 5 goal kicks and 5 stops by the goalkeeper. Pine Grove had 4 free kicks and Palmerton had 6 free kicks. Then with 42 seconds left, Palmerton scores again and this ended the first half of the game.

In the second half of the game, Pine Grove had most of the ball possession. Pine Grove had 26 shots on goal while Palmerton only had 17 shots on goal.
