Foods of Thanksgiving

Cierra Sewick, Staffer

Who doesn’t love the food of Thanksgiving? I know I do! For me, Thanksgiving is one of the best holidays because of the food. On this day, families gather around their dinner table and prepare delicious food. Dishes like turkey, stuffing, and all pumpkin pie are some of the staples of this holiday. Of those, my favorite dishes are the side dishes, especially the sweet potatoes!

At any time after Thanksgiving Day, I don’t want to eat main-course leftovers for an entire week because it can get redundant after awhile. Instead, I prefer to have different foods. I’m prepared to have bread rolls, corn, ham, pumpkin pie and various cookies the next day, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In terms of meals, Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite because of the side dishes.

In short, my Thanksgiving is full of food and a whole lot of laughs! I will always enjoy this holiday and will always await the day it comes around every year. It’s pretty much the only time you can stuff your face without having to feel guilty, and it’s all worth it in the end.
