Lady Cardinals Spectacular Senior Night

The Lady Cardinals were celebrating their Senior Night for the four seniors, Meghan Sarge, Abbie Brown, Tayla Olt, and Alli Butler. Olt said, “I was upset that my senior night had come so soon. I am going to miss my team and the amazing fans.” To start the game, the Lady Cardinals would strike first with Butler making a free throw after a foul. The Lady Panthers would come down and make a three pointer to take the lead. Kailen Felty would respond with two layups to put the Lady Cardinals back ahead. Mikali Donmoyer would also make a layup of her own to further extend the lead. The Lady Panthers would make a layup and two free throws on the next two possessions to tie the game. Bailley Dorson would make a layup to give the Lady Cardinals a lead 9-7 at the end of the first quarter.

The Lady Panthers would strike first in the second quarter with one free throw and a layup. Brown would make one of two free throws to tie up the game. The Lady Panthers would respond with a three pointer to take the lead. Brown would score again for the Lady Cardinals with a mid range jump-shot. Donmoyer would follow Brown with a layup to regain the lead for the Lady Cardinals. The Lady Panthers would go one of two from the free-throw line to reduce the gap. Dorson would also go one of two from the foul line, and Butler would make a layup the next possession. The Lady Panthers would go one of two from the free throw line yet again. Brown would also only make one free throw to give the Lady Cardinals a five point lead. The teams would trade buckets, and Donmoyer would make one free throw to end the half with a score of 23-17.

Brown would break the ice after halftime with a layup for the Lady Cardinals. The Lady Panthers followed with a layup as their first bucket in the second half. The Lady Cardinals and Lady Panthers both went one of two from the free throw line. Butler got an “and one” and would be successful from the free throw line. Donmoyer would follow the play by making a three pointer, she would follow herself up with a layup. The Lady Panthers would make a mid range jump-shot to end the drought after an 8-0 run. Donmoyer would make a layup and get the foul, and would be successful at the line. Butler would follow Donmoyer with an “and one” of her own. Butler’s free throw was good. Butler would also drive the next Lady Cardinals possession and get fouled, making both free throws. The Lady Panthers would end off the third quarter on a positive note and make a layup, bringing the score to 44-24 at the end of the third.

Brown would make a layup to keep the Lady Cardinals rolling. Donmoyer would get fouled and go perfect from the line. Butler would make a layup to continue the Lady Cardinals run. Olt would be fouled on back to back possessions, going four for four from the free throw line. Mayomi Dutton would enter the game and immediately get an “and one” to further extend the lead. Lindsey Wolff would also go to the free throw line and make one of two shots. The Lady Panthers made a layup in the final minute and the game would end with a score of 57-28 and a Lady Cardinals win. This is the last game at home for the Lady Cardinals graduating seniors.
