Preparing For A Sweet Sixteen

Preparing for a sweet sixteen can be hectic because the girl in most cases will want one thing, but the parents will want to do a different theme. There are many themes like a “Night in Paris,” or “Rustic Country” theme, and some people have even done a masquerade themed party, but you can do any theme that will make you happy.  After getting a theme, you need to get an invitation list with all your friends and, of course, your family. Once your list is made, then it’s time to find a place to have your party. Planning a party can be stressful since turning sixteen is a big deal. You can start driving and you’re really just at that age where reality starts to set in.

Also when planning a sweet sixteen, you need to pick a cake and decorations. When picking decorations, it can vary because some people do photo backdrops and some people want a certain amount of balloons, for example. Some people put centerpieces on the tables and even lights for the perfect picture lighting. While planning all of that, you have to figure out what food you are going to serve. Some people have a candy bar, or make a sweets table, and some people even do a chocolate fountain. If your party is during the summer, you could do a smores bar if you are doing a bonfire. There is so much that goes into having a party and each person is different, so they want their party to be their own special day and each party is just as good as the last.

There is always a need for music at a party, so maybe a DJ would be a good idea or some people just hook up their phone to a speaker.  Getting closer to the party is always a challenge because you may want to add some things to make the party and it can be the smallest things like silverware, cups to almost anything. It is also hard to know how many people are coming because a lot of people do not RSVP and they show up, so people get worried if they have enough tables and chairs and even if they have enough food. Everything may feel like the most stressful thing ever but in the end, it’s your party so make it last because you only turn 16 once.
