The Netflix original series Stranger Things was released on July 15, 2016. The show takes place in a fictional town in Indiana called “Hawkins” in the mid to late 1980s. The show has produced three seasons. The fourth season has yet to be released. Each season of the science fiction series has around eight or nine episodes.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things season one starts with the disappearance of a boy named Will Byers. Will’s friends, family, and authorities help search for him. Will’s friends Mike, Lucas, and Dustin come across a young girl named Eleven while looking for Will. They come to find out Eleven is hiding from the “bad men” and has mind powers. Mike decides to hide her in his basement and she slowly gets more comfortable with the boys and talks more. Eleven helps the boys find Will in a place called the “Upside Down”. Season Two focuses on Will when he gets home and the visions he sees. Will still feels like he’s in the “Upside Down,” the alternative universe. His family and friends help him get back to normal and escape the visions. In the third season of Stranger Things Will, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Eleven, and Max which is a new girl who moved to the neighborhood in season two, all hang out and enjoy their summer at the new mall in Hawkins. The third season is definitely emotional for some fans. New characters are introduced and the friends grow apart in some ways until a “code red” happens. The season is definitely a roller coaster, with some episodes being exciting and thrilling and the last episode especially being sad.

Overall, Stranger Things is probably my favorite show. My favorite character is Dustin and I really enjoyed season one. Season two was also good but I didn’t really like Season Three. The kids are more grown up and everything’s changed. The series is definitely worth watching. It makes you feel like you are actually living in Hawkins, Indiana and you’re there experiencing the same events as the kids. I’m super excited for the fourth season to come out! I would 100% recommend this show and I would rate the series a 10/10.
