The Pine Grove Area Middle School was randomly selected to participate in the  National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) assessment. This assessment has been given nationally since 1969 and is the largest continuing and nationally representative assessment of our nation’s students.  NAEP is congressional mandate. It is used to compare schools across the country and gives statistical information of how schools compare.

The NAEP assessment is used by teachers, lawmakers, parents, policymakers, and researchers. “It helps us see what we need to improve within the country,” said Mrs. Brill, Middle School Guidance Counselor.

50 eighth-grade students were randomly selected by NAEP to participate in the assessment.   The test is March 8, 2019
