January 2021 Senior of the Month, Morgan Lucas.

McKenna Valentine and Brandon Unger

Each Senior of the Month was asked 10 questions…

1.How do you feel about being a senior?

-A little sad that my time at Pine Grove is soon ending, but excited to see what the next chapter of my life holds

2.How do you feel about last year being hybrid?

-At first it was heartbreaking knowing that my already limited time at this school would be cut in half, but once I got in the swing of things I learned it was overall beneficial in the long run and I was able to use my extra time wisely by working and studying more

3.How do you feel about being senior of the month?

-I was excited finding out that I was senior of the month. It felt good knowing my hard work was seen by others and the recognition was used as another source of motivation to continue to excel.

4.Favorite and least favorite thing about being a senior during covid?

-My favorite thing is probably that most college application fees were waived and sending in SAT scores were optional. My least favorite is not being able to interact with my classmates during school like we used to.

5.What do you want to do after you graduate?

-I am attending Drexel University for a Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Science accelerated degree program to become a Physician Assistant.

6.What piece of advice would you give to underclassmen?

-My advice to underclassmen is to have a few ideas in mind regarding what career they want to pursue and what schools offer their degree/ program. It’s never too early to start thinking about these decisions, because once senior year rolls around it’s easy to fall behind and not meet certain schools’ application deadlines.

7.If you play sports or do any other activities how were they affected with covid?

-Student Council was one club that was affected tremendously during these times. It was hard to organize events to bring the students together with all the CDC guidelines that we had to follow.

8.What is your favorite memory from senior year so far?

-My best memory from senior year was when I found out we would be coming back full time.

9.What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?

-My favorite thing to do outside of school is going to the gym and shopping.

10.Who is someone you look up to?

-Someone that I look up to is my mom.
