March 2021 Senior of the Month, Kira Shollenberger.

McKenna Valentine and Brandon Unger

Each Senior of the Month was asked 10 questions…

1.How do you feel about being a senior?

-It is crazy that I am already a senior. It has gone by so fast.

2.How do you feel about last year being hybrid?

-I enjoyed being hybrid but I do feel like it also made me as well as the rest of the seniors miss out on some staple senior moments.

3.How do you feel about being senior of the month?

-It feels really good to be senior of the month and to be recognized for my hard word through the uncertain circumstances this year brought.

4.Favorite and least favorite thing about being a senior during covid?

-My favorite part was being able to make my own schedule and have more free time due to the hybrid schedule. I also enjoyed the smaller class sizes. My least favorite part is definitely missing out on the senior experience with things like, homecoming, semi, a normal prom, and the class trip.

5.What do you want to do after you graduate?

-I will be attending Bloomsburg and majoring in Digital Forensics.

6.What piece of advice would you give to underclassmen?

-Four years goes by incredibly fast so enjoy it all.

7.If you play sports or do any other activities how were they affected with covid?

-I play soccer and basketball and we had a few set back due to covid. Our soccer team got quarantined right before leagues and we weren’t able to participate but just making it there was a big moment for us. For basketball wearing masks was probably the biggest effect it was something everyone had to adjust to but I’m glad we were able to have our entire season.

8.What is your favorite memory from senior year so far?

-Being able to play sports with all of my friends for the last time was probably the best memory so far because we were so uncertain about even getting a season.

9.What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?

-Hanging out with friends.

10.Who is someone you look up to?

-I look up to my brother, even though I would never admit that to him, he is a very hard worker and he’s always excelled in what he does.
