PGAMS Academic Honor Society

On May 1st the 2019 Pine Grove Area Middle School Academic Honor Society Induction was held in the gymnasium. The ceremony includes an induction of new members and awards for 2nd and 3rd members. It began with some pre-ceremony entertainment of the PGAMS Jazz Band, and the high school JROTC Color Guard. After the induction friends and family gathered for refreshments and photos in the cafeteria.

Mr. Ronald Stump, the adviser of the PGAMS Academic Honor Society guides the honor society pledge and induction. “…To which I have been selected, striving in every way, by word, and deed to make its ideals, the ideals of my school and of my life,” he says, and the students  repeat.

The ceremony even involved the student officers to hand out awards and inductions. Melody Love, president of the Middle School Honor Society says, “scholarship means a commitment to learning….And we should continue to learn.”

Miss Melissa Mekosh, Middle School Principal ends the closing remarks by saying, “We are proud of your accomplishments and thank you…the excitement for the end of the year is growing… and this is one of those moments that make it all worth it.”
