The movie “Grown Ups” is about 5 lifelong friends who won their middle school tournament and decided to reunite and go on vacation together to a log cabin with a lake. They all have kids of their own and they all grow a bond by the end of their trip. There are big name actors in the movie such as Adam Sandler (who also co-write it), Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and many more.

The plot  of the film is that a group of adults reunite at their old basketball coach’s funeral where they all speak at his funeral and plan the whole trip. When they end up going to the cabin and get settled in and meet everyone, they go out to eat, and they end up meeting their old tournament rivals there. It turns into a long feud between their families throughout the movie and ends up in an intense basketball match. The basketball match was between Adam Sandler’s character and his character’s son and one of his rivals and his son. When the film was first released it did not have good reviews from critics; however, it ended up grossing over 271 million dollars. Which led to a sequel called “Grown Ups 2”.

This movie was great all around, and also the ending was good. I feel like the actors fit perfectly into their role as their characters. The movie would definitely be good for a family movie night and is just something to watch every now and then.
