The newest Conjuring movie was released this year on June 4th. This film was directed by Michael Chaves. It is the latest in “The Conjuring” Series.  This movie was scary but I feel it wasn’t scary enough. ”The Conjuring” movies released before this one were definitely on the scarier side  but, I still enjoyed watching it anyway. There were many points where this movie left me on the edge of my seat, and the jump scares were still as good as any of the other Conjuring movies.

For any who don’t know or haven’t watched the movies it’s a series of events that are based on true stories. Yes, there are added scenes and details to make the movies scarier but overall they are based around true events. In “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”, the main characters, Ed and Lorraine Warren, attack one of the most sensational cases of their lifetime. A cop comes across a confused and blood covered man walking down the side of the road. This man was soon accused of murder and in court he claimed demonic possession as his defense. This then forced the Warrens to one of the hardest supernatural events they’ve ever had.

I think that they based the film too much off of Ed and Lorraine’s love story. They should’ve had more going on with the actual case itself. I also feel there could’ve been more jump scares. Because the other two Conjuring movies had a lot of jump scares. Overall, the movie was fun to watch even though it wasn’t the best one. And if you enjoy horror movies and haven’t seen ”The Conjuring” series yet I definitely would check them out.
