Every year, The Cardinal Marching Band creates a thrilling and spooky experience for the community. The band turns the halls of the High School into a scary Haunted School.

Last year, the band was unable to continue The Annual Haunted School due to Covid-19 restrictions. So, the band had to be creative and they created “The Haunted Canal”.

This year, The Cardinal Band is able to get back to doing something that has had a positive impact on the community by bringing people together . “I am glad we are able to keep this tradition going.  It is something unique that our band does and I love seeing the ideas come to life,” says Mr. Gibson.

Eva Karenda enjoys being involved with the Haunted School, she gets to do what she loves most which is acting. “I love being able to give people in our community a different and fun experience,” says Karenda.

Not only does The Haunted School have a positive impact on the community it also has a positive impact on the band itself. ”It shows the confidence and support our district has in our students, and it also shows how we foster creativity and are willing to take a chance and let our students do something different,” says Mr. Gibson.

The Haunted School had a great outcome this year. Many people came out to support the band. I feel like the Haunted School always has a good outcome. There are some negative views on it but it’s all for enjoyment,” says Eva.
