A Quiet Place 2 is written and directed by John Krasinski. Krasinski is also the leading actor in his own film. Emily Blunt, Millecent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe are the 3 other leading actors  in the film. Simmonds provides a very interesting part of the movie because not only is her character deaf, but she is also deaf in real life. This provided a fun challenge for the crew, because Director Krasinski forced the crew to learn some sign language to help communicate with Simmonds.

The movie has an extremely interesting plot line and world building. Seeing the beginning of the apocalypse and the terrifying invading aliens descend upon the planet in the beginning of the movie sets a great tone for the rest of the film. Immediately after the crazy invasion scene, There’s a cut in time that resets us, and changes the pace in a great way.

The rest of the film has many great scenes, and something that makes these scenes so great is the sound design. The entire film revolves around the aliens incredible ability to detect sound, so it would make sense that the movie’s sound design takes a huge part in how the movie is perceived. Many of the movie’s best scenes are as amazing as they are because of Krasinski’s great directing and the movie’s excellent sound design. I would give A Quiet Place 2 a 4.5/5 stars. I Prefer the first movie because it feels like it’s pacing it better, but both movies are excellent.
