“With the positive experience I had while being a student here, I was excited to join the team to offer the same support to the current students,” says Breanna Sattizahn, Guidance Counselor and 2014 alumna.

Sattizahn decided to come back to school but this time not as a student, but as a guidance counselor position. She has come here with the intention to give back what the school once gave to her.

Her goal at Pine Grove Area is to help students reach their goals while working with them and offering support. She has always liked helping others with their problems.

“Becoming a guidance counselor has allowed me to reach one of my long term goals,” says Sattizahn.

Her supporters and family have inspired her to become a guidance counselor. Her family is very large and have always been supportive of her goals.

“Throughout college they had always listened to me if I needed to vent or help me through life in general,” says Sattizahn.

She always knew that she wanted to be in the counseling realm and she wanted to work with kids, especially high schoolers.

“Once I saw the job open up, I wanted to take the opportunity to work with kids this age,” says Sattizahn.

While being here, Sattizahn hopes to make an impact on students’ lives.
