January 2023 Senior of the Month, Kaya Wagner.

How do you feel about being a senior?

-I’m excited that I am finally ready to graduate and go to college. It is a little sad though because this is the last chapter of a big part of my life.

How do you feel about being Senior of the Month?

-I am honored to be Senior of the Month. I am glad that my teachers have recognized all of the hard work and dedication I have put into my school work.

What do you want to do after you graduate?

-I want to attend college to become a high school English teacher.

What piece of advice would you give to underclassmen?

-Make the most of every opportunity you get. You never know when life is going to change, so do the best you can. Also that you don’t have to be perfect, just put your all into everything you do.

Best memory of senior year so far?

-Going to the Renaissance Faire or seeing Macbeth for English class.

Favorite thing to do outside of school?

-I like to read, cook, and write.

Who is someone you look up to?

-I look up to my mom. She never gave up on being successful and happy. She recently started college to get her bachelor’s degree. The fact that she is in college while working 42 hours a week, doing freelance design, and still taking care of the house, showed me that I can do anything I put my mind to. The lessons she taught me made me the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for that.
