Harry Kane Nets Brace to make Tottenham Hotspur History
Tottenham Hotspur played in a Monday night clash against Fulham. The game proved to be a struggle in the first half for the Spurs, having most possession in their own half. Fulham fans were convinced that they would walk away with a point. Until Harry Kane decided to get involved.
The ball started with Emerson Royale, right wing back, in the center circle. The ball was played to Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, center midfielder, close to the left hand touch line. Højbjerg played the ball forward to Son Heung-Min, left wing, who drove forward at Fulham’s back line. Heung-Min would play the ball across to the edge of the box. Harry Kane would receive and turn Tim Ream, the Fulham Centre Back. Kane would lace the ball well with his right foot, curling the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal, leaving Bernd Leno with zero chance.
Tanner Kolb, freshman, said, “Harry Kane has proven himself to be a top 10 striker in the Premier League.”
The strike made out to be a historic goal for the 29-year-old striker. Now he has 266 goals for Tottenham, tying Jimmy Greaves for the Clubs all time topscorer. Kane is proving to become one of the top goalscorers in the world, and has a chance to take over Greaves and finally become Tottenham Hotspurs greatest goalscorer.
