February 2023 Senior of the Month, Mary Reiter.

Each Senior of the Month was asked 7 questions…

1.How do you feel about being a senior?
-I’m very excited about being a senior! Everyone told me high school would fly by, but I didn’t believe them until about three months ago.

2.How do you feel about being senior of the month?
-Being named senior of the month means a lot to me, because it tells me that my teachers felt I deserved recognition for my work and behavior which is very flattering.

3.What do you want to do after you graduate?
-After I graduate, I plan on attending Harrisburg Area Community College to pursue a degree in business, and hopefully become an entrepreneur.

4.What piece of advice would you give to underclassmen?
-I would advise underclassmen to take advantage of every opportunity that’s within their reach. Putting things off “until you have time” is dangerous because you never know what will come up or get in the way. Invest in yourself, with whatever you can, first.

5.Best memory of senior year so far?
-I wasn’t planning on coming back to in-person learning since I went virtual sophomore year. Since being back, I’ve reconnected with friends, improved my grades, and gotten the opportunity to go on several fun field trips. It’s too difficult to pick one favorite memory because I think I’ll always appreciate this season of my life.

6.Favorite thing to do outside of school?
-Outside of school, I spend a lot of time at my job, the RSM SPCA. Spending time with the furry friends I work with brings me a lot of fulfillment, because I get to be a part of keeping them healthy and happy.

7.Who is someone you look up to?
-I’ve always looked up to my big sister. She set a great example of how to be a strong, motivated, and overall good person. Her words of encouragement inspire me to do my best everyday, because I know she’s there to cheer me on.
