This 2022-2023 season is the 40th Anniversary of the last time the Philadelphia 76ers won an NBA championship. It is also 20 years since they have made an appearance in the NBA finals. Is this their year?

There is always hope in the City of Brotherly Love for all their Philadelphia sports teams. Here’s why they have the means for this to be their year to make a comeback as the NBA’s championship team.

Doc Rivers is an amazing coach. Doc is an NBA Legend. He played for 14 years, he was an Allstar player, and he has already won a championship as a head coach. Doc will make sure he is doing a great job coaching this season, as he has been told over and over he just isn’t good enough.

James Harden is in sync with his teammates this year. When the 76ers traded Ben Simmons to the Nets for James Harden, they got an experienced and just all around good player. Harden this season is just working hard and helping everyone else be a great player on the team. His years of experience make the team gel.

Joel Embiid is a superstar. Embiid is a big man with a big heart, who wants to always win. He works hard, and he has an amazing rapport with all the other players. He could and should have won MVP last season and he should be winning it this year. No one can out hustle and out score Embiid when he is on his game.

The Sixers have a great group of young guys behind their leaders. Whether it is Maxey, or Melton, or Milton you are watching they are developing into stars right before our eyes. They are following the leadership of their veterans and “big men” and making it happen on the court.

All of these players, and coaching staff deserve their chance to play in the finals and win the championship this year. It is gonna happen, sit back with your popcorn and watch the game play out in front of you.
