The Jake Paul and Tommy Fury boxing match happened on February 26, 2023 at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia. The match was billed as “The Truth” Fury is the half brother of the heavyweight great, Tyson Fury. Fury is looking to show the world he is his own fighter, and not just Tommy’s brother. Fury is a reality show star in the United Kingdom. Jake Paul is currently unbeaten, and while being known for his social media exploits, he is taking the boxing world by storm, currently being 6 and 0. Fury is definitely Paul’s most experienced opponent to date though. This fight was two years in the making.

Through the fight Fury landed the cleanest shots. Fury was also the more active of the fighters. He landed double the number of power punches, 49 to 24. Fury averaged 38 punches thrown. Paul averaged 20 punches thrown, only landing 6 per round. Fury also landed more jabs; 39 to 25.

Oddly during the middle rounds the referee deducted a point from Paul for pushing Fury’s head down, but then the next round ended up taking a point away from Fury. Paul seemed to be pretty tired by the 6th and 7th rounds, but by the final round he dug deep and dropped Fury with a jab, which kept him in the fight.

Tommy Fury won this battle and handed Jake Paul his first loss with a split decision win. Paul said he doesn’t agree with the scores,he thought he won the fight and said he had a health issue and arm injury in training camp.
