The annual NCAA March Madness Tournament started on March 16, 2023. The first round of the tournament had many upsets including Fairleigh Dickinson beating Purdue. The second round took place on March 18, 2023.

As the tournament progressed it was hard to keep track of all the upsets that happened. Sixteen seeds beating one seeds, and the blue bloods of college basketball were vanquished within the second round. This years Final Four will have San Diego State, Florida Atlantic, Miami, and UConn. People’s “perfect brackets” found their way into the recycling bin after it was all said and done. Statistics say that it would be easier to pick the same grain of sand twice than predict a perfect bracket for a men’s college basketball tournament.

The San Diego State Aztecs and UConn Huskies made it to the championship. The Aztects were a 5 seed going into the NCAA March Madness Tournament while the Huskies were a 4 seed. The UConn Huskies ended up winning the tournament over the San Diego State Aztecs with a score of Huskies 76 to the Aztecs 59.
