Pine Grove Area’s girl soccer team started with a very solid record for the 2023 season with their record being 11-1. As of this point in the season, the team has managed to stay undefeated in their division.
“It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Starting strong is good but finishing strong is epic,” Coach Andy Haas.
Haas prepared his team for the season in many ways. In the months before the actual season started, the team would endure strengthening workouts and stretches to prepare and heighten their body for the games and trials to come. The coach the girls have, knows what to prepare them for.
“I am 3rd in All-Time Scoring and 5th in Overall Points in PGA Boys Soccer History,” stated Haas
Haas started as a coach for Wyomissing Area for Junior High Boys Soccer where he eventually made his way up as the Girls Varsity coach and Boys assistant coach. Haas wanted his own position so he made his first dent in his career when he got his first head coaching job at Oley Valley for 5 seasons before eventually taking the job at Pine Grove Area 3 seasons ago and making his mark on the team that we know today.
