This year’s NFL Super Bowl is a championship matchup for two teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. This is one of the multiple superbowl matchups for the Chiefs in this decade. This was also a repeat of the Super bowl LVIII which featured the same opponents. This time however the Chiefs are left without star receiver Tyreek Hill, and the 49ers have an almost brand new team, with Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey. On paper, the 49ers have a great team, with almost the best offensive players according to ESPN. These skill players for the 49ers are almost the best at their position with Christian McCaffrey, Brock Purdy, Brandon Aiyuk. The 49ers defense is also a great squad with some of their best skill players being Nick Bosa, Charvarious Ward and Fred Warner.
The 49ers being as scary as a team can be, somehow the Chiefs look better for me if you need a team to win a Superbowl. The pure skill and experience Patrick Mahomes and his 1to1 connection, Travis Kelce have is unmatched. During their rougher season they weren’t playing at their highest level, however these two players seem to get more comfortable as the playoffs continue. It is amazing how the Chiefs can be such a power team near the end of the season. Their defense was very young last year and now it can only get better.
I cannot see any team matching up with this year currently. The ravens absolutely man-handled the 49ers, and then the ravens got blown out by the Chiefs. I am taking the chiefs to go up big in the first half, winning by 17. The 49ers will then try and make a comeback and they will dominate the 3rd quarter, but the Chiefs will end up reinventing themselves with minutes left in the 4th quarter and making history with another Superbowl win.
