With another year, we enter another season of Fall. We just went through the heatwave of summer, and now we’re experiencing the cool, soothing vibe of autumn. Fall is my favorite season. I enjoy the freedom Fall gives you to run around outside, and to see the pretty colors of the leaves as they trickle down to the ground. You can jump into a huge pile of leaves and and enjoy small things like that. Also, it’s always fun to kick the piles of leaves when your parents are trying to rake them, just to get a rise out of them. And of course, let’s not forget about the scent of a Yankee Candle burning in your house, and the aroma of pumpkin spice and vanilla from every seasonal beverage wafting into your nose. I enjoy the ambience of the slightly dark and cool but calm environment that fall gives you.  You’ll see people curled up in blankets, sipping some hot apple cider, eating gingersnap cookies, or just laughing and having a good time. There’s really nothing more relaxing, satisfying, and incredible than the season of fall.

On the topic of fall, the season provides a lot of warming snacks and drinks.  Nobody really eats anything cold during this time, so soup, chili, or chowder can’t get any better than at this time of the year. A cup of hot coffee or tea also quenches your thirst, while warming you up as well.

In addition, there’s nothing I love more than the dubbed ‘sweater weather’. During this time of year, the temperature is just right so that you can always wear a hoodie and people won’t judge you for wearing it. I’ve always been partial to the cold rather than the heat because not only do I get hot very easily, the cold doesn’t really bother me. These factors play a part in why I prefer the cooler seasons.

Fall also takes place throughout November, the month that has Thanksgiving Day, and who doesn’t love Thanksgiving? You get to gather around with your family and friends and eat an abundance of food such as pumpkin pie, turkey, stuffing, and the list goes on and on. To be with your family and to eat as much as you want is a perfect holiday for me.

Fall is a fun time for all ages for all the seasonal changes it provides. The colorful leaves may clutter your yard, but it’s all worth it for the fun the season provides. Fall gives me a sense of freedom and euphoria that I’m sure many others can relate to.
