A community coming together to support their football team.

Autumn Behrent, Staffer

I’ve lived in Pine Grove all 17 years of my life, and I believe this town comes with a lot of good qualities. Of course, Pine Grove has its downsides, but I’m still happy to call it my home. Everybody in the town knows each other, which makes us like a family. Pine Grove also is a little town with not many things to do. The great attractions of Pine Grove include the movie theater, the diner, the bowling alley, O’neals, and Buddy’s log cabin. The sparsity of things to do is still okay with me.

I like growing up in such a small town because everybody seems to know each other. You cannot go to one of our two grocery stores without spending an hour talking to everyone you see inside the store. The downside to everybody knowing each other is drama, because when you have drama in Pine Grove, everybody knows of it. Most people connect well to each other in Pine Grove. People complain about the gas pumps at Speedway never working, the traffic at our red light being bad, or talking about the football team’s friday night score..

Pine Grove also has lots of spirit, and I love that. When it comes to sports, Pine Grove fans are very supportive of all heir home teams. Every game night the bleachers are always packed with family and fans.

Most people can’t wait to get out of this town, but in my opinion, it’s not so terrible.
