The third season of Outer Banks premiered on Netflix on February 23rd. Since its release, the series has remained in the top portion of the top ten TV shows on Netflix’s list.

Season three continues to follow the Pogues, John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), JJ (Rudy Pankow) and Cleo (Carlacia Grant), throughout their adventures. The friends are stranded on an island after escaping the OBX at the end of the second season and eventually escape after they see a plane in the distance that rescues them. What they don’t realize is that it was a trap and they were being hunted down by a powerful man named Carlos Singh (Andy McQueen). Throughout the season, the friends are in a constant competition trying to find the treasure before Singh does. We see a lot of unexpected twists and turns throughout the season such as, when John B reconnects with his father after thinking he was dead as well as the unexpected deaths at the end of the season.

Overall, season three was really good. I enjoyed watching it but I didn’t think it was as thrilling as the past seasons. However, the ending was well made and perfectly set up for the next season. I would recommend the series and give this season a ⅘ stars.
