Band Christmas Concert

Mr. Gibson conducts the PGAHS Cardinal Band in the 2021 Christmas Concert.

Every year, the Cardinal Band, Jazz Band, and Chorus put together an entertaining Christmas Concert for everyone to see.  Last year, due to Covid-19 guidelines, the band and chorus recorded their songs and then posted it online for families to see. This year the band and chorus could go back to showing off their musical abilities and talents by performing in person for their families to see

The Jazz Band (directed by Ken Gibson) performed first, they played:  “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, followed by “Winter Wonderland” featuring Rachel Eidem,soloist, tenor sax. 

The Chorus (directed by Susan Fenstermaker) performed next, they sang a total of five songs; “O Come All Ye Faithful”, Selections from “When Icicles Hang”, featuring Erik Dubbs (Class of 2021)  on piano, “Hark the Herald Sing” which featured Alexa Brown on piano and Elliot Tucker on bass, Selections from “Messiah”; featuring Ethan Tucker (Class of 2020) on piano and  Eva Karenda, senior and soloist, the Chorus ended with “Silent Night”. 

The Band (directed by Ken Gibson) ended the Concert with five pieces titled: “Christmas Lights”, “Carol of the Boombuckets” featuring the Percussion section, “Haunted Sleigh Ride”, “The “3” Minute Nutcracker”  featuring Alexa Brown and Alexa Ziegler, and “Midnight Christmas Eve” featuring the Band Front and special guest Cody Zerbe.
