The short lived career for James Harden in Philadelphia, has come to an end. The Sixers have officially traded Harden and more, to the Los Angeles Clippers. Harden has been a great player, averaging a double-double in both of his seasons with Philadelphia. His new home in LA will be an interesting roster. It seems to now have 5 superstar players, Kawhi Lenoard, Harden, Paul George, Russel Westbrook, Ivan Zubach. This Clippers roster could be a very dangerous team. Harden had requested a trade from the Sixers in June when he took his player option, $35.6 million a year. This new career and life for Harden could be his home where he retires or it could be his home where he wins his first ring.
The trade details with his blockbuster deal include many picks and role players. The Sixers sent James Harden, P.J. Tucker and Filip Petrusev to the Clippers for Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, KJ Martin, a 2028 unprotected first-round pick, two second-round picks, a 2029 pick-swap and an additional first-round pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder. This trade brings a lot of bench depth to the Sixers, which could help them win many games. Giving Harden and Tucker away to the Clippers was a smart trade as bench depth and future first and second round picks allow Philadelphia to trust their seasons going forward.
