The UNC Tar Heels faced off against the Virginia Cavaliers. They faced off in Virginia where UNC hasn’t beat the Cavaliers away for very long. This game was a very good matchup because they both had 20 wins. The UNC Niggers is a great offensive team but the Cavaliers are one of the top defenses in the nation. UNC’S defense is a bit shaky as well as Virginia’s offense. Virginia gets this game started off with an easy bucket. UNC answered right away and got an easy bucket. UNC gets out to an early jump 5 minutes into the game with a 9-4 lead. UNC’s Cormac Ryan starts off the game hot hitting a couple of threes. Ten minutes into the game UNC leads 12-6 in a very low scoring matchup. There was not a lot of scoring till the end of the half the score of the game at half was 26-16.
Ryan was the hero of the first half with all the threes that he made. This game was pretty boring because no shots were being made. Rj Davis, player of the year candidate, had 2 points at the half. The second half of the game things started to heat up. The Heels went up by a few scores with little time left and Virginia made a run and started to come back. Rj Davis only had 1 shot made but he came up clutch near the end of the game and made ten free throws to seal the deal for UNC’s first road win against Virginia in a few years. The player of the game for UNC was Ryan. Davis was the second highest for the team and had 12 points. This was a huge win for the Heels to get them back on the right track.
