Pine Grove Seniors Sign Letter of Intent

Four athletes from Pine Grove Area High School signed to go to college to play a sport they love including: Katelyn Rittenbaugh, Christina DiFalco, Trisha Kopinetz, and Avery Nagle.

“Playing in championship games in high school makes me feel ready,” says Katelyn Rittenbaugh. Katelyn is signing to play softball for West Chester University. Katelyn’s mother and father came to watch the signing.  Katelyn is a shortstop of the Lady Cards. Last, season Katelyn achieved 100 career hits.

“I’m very excited! Eastern Kentucky seems like the perfect school as soon as I walked on campus,” says Christina DiFalco. Christina is signing to go to Eastern Kentucky for cross country and track and field. Her major is undecided and her mother and father were present at the signing as well.

“I’m excited. It’s going to be overwhelming, but I think I’ll be okay,” says Trisha Kopinetz. Trisha has also signed to go to West Chester University. Her major will either be psychology or pre-med. Trisha’s mother and sister showed up for the signing.  As catcher for the Lady Cards, Trish achieved 100 hits.

“I’m really excited for college. I went down for my college visit last weekend and everybody is really nice,” says Avery Nagle, center field for the Lady Cards. Avery is signing to go to St. Francis University of Loretto to play softball. Her major will be biology.  Her father and step-mother showed up to the signing.
